How do I get from Tirana to Shëngjin by car?
Take the SH1 north towards Lezhë, then follow the signs to Shëngjin. It is roughly 70 km and takes about an hour and twenty minutes on good road the whole way.
Do I need a car in Shëngjin?
For the beach itself, no. For everything around it, yes: Velipojë, the Kune-Vain reserve, Lezhë castle and the road on to Shkodër and the Albanian Alps are all much easier with your own car.
